I started subscribing to American Patchwork and Quilting (APQ) when my son’s school sold magazines as a fundraiser. To my surprise, the brochure had a nice selection of quilting magazines. I received my first issue last week and saw the advertisement for American Patchwork and Quilting University. Beginning in March, APQ will offer online classes. These are project classes and not design classes, but would be great for someone learning to quilt because they contain step-by-step photos to go with the written instructions. Class details will be available sometime in February at allpeoplequilt.com.
Quilting Arts Magazine has also announced that they will launch Quilting Arts TV through PBS stations beginning December 30th. I’m uncertain on this date because I checked their website yesterday and they had not posted any details. My local PBS station has not advertised this show. I will continue to check the website for more information.
