I’m proud to have started and finished a challenge piece in the same month. This quilt measures eleven inches squares. The blocks are four inch. Sometimes the pictures make things look smaller or bigger then they are.
The October theme was “your sewing space”. Since mine serves other uses, I wanted this piece to serve multiple purposes. It contains fabric painting and embellishment experiments and provided a lesson in choosing quilting designs. It will decorate the wall during the holidays. It gave me an opportunity to learn to draw paper piecing patterns in EQ6. For such a small quilt, I learned a lot making it.
Speaking of small things, the older cat has more or less accepted the new kitten, now named Cuddles. He only growled at her once yesterday. Cuddles takes lap cat to a whole new level. She has eaten enough to fill out and cleaned herself up. Now we can enjoy the antics of a kitten exploring her world.
