Last Sunday I went to a friend’s house to work on a quilt group project and dye some fabric. I took a couple shirts to dye, but I forgot they were a poly/cotton blend and not 100% cotton. I must have bought them to paint, not dye.
Most of the dye rinsed out of them, but one came out a nice sky blue color.
The fabric pieces are classic red and a classic red/bright blue combo.
My friend buys extra large cotton shirts at garage sales and then dyes them and wears them as nightshirts. I think that’s a great idea. It will give me an excuse to stop at the sales this year.
