Afternoon at the Fair

Every Labor Day weekend (a US holiday) we go out to the Fulton County Fair.  We look at produce, flowers, animals, crafts and vendor booths.  Sometimes we watch a local dance group or animal competitions, whatever happens to be going on while we’re there.

You’d think I’d have pictures of the quilts on exhibit, but they never really wow me.  The bed quilts are folded up and hung over rafters in the Arts and Crafts Building, so you can’t get a good look at them.  This is the kind of picture I take every year.

I’m not a big fan of chickens, and I don’t collect chicken things.  I take chicken pictures because I’m fascinated with the coloring and the layering of the feathers.  The cage bars have some interesting angles too, but I took the picture for the feathers.  Weird, huh?

Inspiration can come from anywhere.  I never dismiss anything that catches and holds my attention.
