I finished my sketch using the river photo as inspiration. I’m happy with the design, but some parts didn’t translate that well to paper.
The sky will be pieced diamonds with subtle color differences between the fabrics. I had to draw the lines darker so they would show in the upload. The pattern will not show that much in the actual quilt.
I didn’t draw the rocks all the way across the bottom because it took so much time to draw them. The rock pattern to the right will go all across the bottom in the actual quilt. I didn’t like the way the rocks on the left turned out and they won’t be in the final design.
I’m still playing with the abstract designs I drew using the same picture as inspiration. I’ll share those once I get a workable sketch.
