It’s hard to even write about this with a straight face. The UFO challenge has been such a joke this year. I did so well last year….I had big hopes for this year. The year isn’t over and UFO miracles could still happen. I’ll keep an open mind.
The UFO for this month is the poppy quilt that I started in a Lenore Crawford class either two or three years ago.
That quilt is staying on the shelf because the April and May UFOs are still hanging out, unfinished. Plus the Fig Tree quilt. Plus what I’ve come to call The Wall quilt. One more unfinished project staring at me is not going to provide a wealth of inspiration.
If I finish any UFO this month, I’ll be happy.

Good attitude! I have discovered two things where UFO’s are concerned. First, I am happy if I just take the UFO out and begin the process of figuring out what it needs and am able to figure out why I stopped working on it in the first place. I have worked on three UFO’s this year and only finished up one. But I have made progress on the other two and am hoping to make progress on the one for this time frame. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish this next one because of all the time commitments in the next two months. Which brings me to the second thing I have discovered. Just as soon as I decide to put nose to grind stone to finish up those UFO’s and get things done, work, family and other outside things get together to make that impossible!!!!! I’m sure you can relate.
I love the poppies! I hope you’ll find time to finish them.
