The Days Are Short

Since I had to work last Friday…and Saturday morning, I took today off for some much needed catch up at home.  I cleaned things that hadn’t been cleaned for way to long.  I did some Christmas shopping.  I let go of more stuff, including a box of Christmas decorations that went into the trash.  I should have been embarrassed to display that stuff in my house YEARS ago.

I also fit in some sewing time, although I didn’t get as far as I would have liked.  Does anyone ever get to everything they want to do in a day?  I never do.  How does the saying go?  People overestimate what they can do in a day, but underestimate what they can do in a year, or something like that.

All those scraps pictured in the last post turned into these half-square triangles.  I had hoped they’d turn into blocks, but the quilting fairies were slacking while I was out running errands.

Don’t you just hate it when the quilting fairies are not doing their job? 🙂 Made me smile. Have good week.
