I finished the swap snowman last night. It’s one of those better late than never deals. I’ll mail it tomorrow.
That counts for a whopping quarter yard out.
After guild yesterday we went to our favorite thrift shop. I scored a couple of books and a yard of Moda Christmas fabric. Gotta love a shop that sells fabric for $1/yard.
This is the second Scrap Saver’s book I own now. I don’t make the gifty projects in them, but the ideas translate well to appliqué and inspire related quilts.
The drawing book came to my attention recently and people swear by it. Even the cashier at the thrift shop said her FIL, a professional artist, learned to draw from that book. I figured it was worth a shot.

Great find with the drawing book. Sue mentioned that in her talk yesterday. Hope it works for you. You’ll have to let me know how you like it. Good to see you if only for a few seconds.
I love your little snowman. He looks so happy. I’m sure the recipient will be so pleased.
