I finished the fourth strippy top, working from the inside out, this morning before work.
Two months ago I never would have put these fabrics together. It’s what I like most about the top.
This one feels more traditional than the others, at least to me, and a little plain. The quilting will need to spice up the quilt.
I’ve found it challenging to use the checkerboard blocks in such small quilts because they take up half the space. I have one more to use and then I’ll be done with them. It was an interesting experiment, but I have no plans to make more for future quilts. Once was enough.
