I spent this week cutting rectangles and sewing rectangles and squares together. I try to do a little something every day.
It goes fast. I know from experience that I could sew all the blocks together in a day if that’s all I did. It’s a wonderful thought, but not on the agenda.
I sewed these blocks together last year at retreat. This pattern took more time because of all the squares.
The completed top went to a long arm quilter and will eventually go to a battered women’s shelter.
The purple and green quilt is part of a bigger plan to get myself organized and become more productive in the sewing room. It will take most the month to get myself set up using the new system, which I’ll explain in a later post.
Thank God for quilting friends that generously share ideas.
