I finished quilting the tumblers using a QAYG method.
I don’t know that I’d do it this way again. I used something similar to a stitch and flip method, but with really big sections instead of rows. The quilt was a little bulky by the time I got to the end.
I didn’t feel confident with the basting because I didn’t have a surface large enough to spread out the quilt. It all turned out fine though. I used an idea I saw on YouTube and rolled the quilt onto a foam pool noodle. It kept everything straight and wrinkle free. Who’da thought?
I’m just glad to have the quilting done on it. I’ll bind it this weekend and turn it in at the next guild meeting.
I’m linking to Whoop Whoop Friday.
Nice job! I do quilt as you go a lot (back problems).
