A Big Bag

Several times this year I’ve found myself in need of a big tote bag.

I have all kinds of bags, but most are smallish and not something I’ve made. Everyone else comes to guild with super cool tote bags to carry their quilts and I want one too.

I found this pattern online last night. It’s a Fig Tree pattern, which speaks for itself. Love the pattern, love the fabrics and made this quilt a few years back from one of their kits.

fig-tree-topI have quite a bit of fabric left from the kit. I haven’t decided if I will use that or another stack of charm squares from the stash. The bag would look great in batiks or 1930s prints.

If I don’t get it sewn this month, it will definitely fill the “new” category for the July Short List.
