July OMG Finish

Finishing the applique on the poppy quilt was my July One Monthly Goal. I finished the applique and went on the finish the whole quilt.
transformationThis is a Lenore Crawford pattern started in one of her classes back in 2010. It sat for several years, and then I pulled it out and finished fusing the flowers. Then it sat for another four years before I finished it.
I painted the background fabric specifically for this project. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.
I’m linking to Elm Street Quilts.

I thought it was a photograph when I saw it on the link-up list (which one I can’t remember). WOW! To see it’s made of fabric is amazing and beautiful!

Love it! This was a project worth finishing! It is so easy to picture the poppies blowing in the breeze on a warm day! Maybe it is dawn or sunset. Well done!
