March 2019 Short List

Hard to believe it’s time for another Short List. Every month seems to go faster than the last. I worked on three of the February projects, but didn’t finish anything. That’s OK because I didn’t expect to finish anything. Moving it all forward was enough.
The Short List includes something old (UFO), something new, a handwork project, and creative play/design. I started using this system in November 2014 to keep myself focused. I add and delete categories as my interests change.
Something Old – I’m putting the 9 patch leader and ender quilt back on the list. I set it aside once I finished the top because a leg injury made it difficult to get down on the floor and baste it. I’m healed enough to do that now and would like to finish the quilt.
Something New – I’m working on the Hand Piecing QAL, without the hand part. I’m a couple blocks behind but expect to finish the blocks this month.
Handwork – The cross stitch penguin. It’s coming along faster than I thought it would.
Creative Play– I watched the Creative Bug class and pieced a strip set. I have no idea where to go next. I’ll probably take it to Art Quilt Group to get some ideas.
This month I’ll focus on the QAL and the 9 patch top because I know I’m starting a new project in April. I want to finish something before then, or at least get something close to finished.
