May 2019 Short List

Where do the months go?
Here we are putting together a new list for the new month. I always like months with holiday weekends because I have more time to sew.
I finished one project in April and made a lot of progress on another. It’s fun to add something new to the list.
The Short List includes something old (UFO), something new, a handwork project, and creative play/design. I started using this system in November 2014 to keep myself focused. I add and delete categories as my interests change.
Something Old – The 9 patch leader and ender quilt. It still needs basted and quilted.
9patch topSomething New – I’m about half way through quilting the QAL top. This is my OMG for May.
QAL topHandwork – The cross stitch penguins. It’s about half way done.penguinsxs
Creative Play– My Needle Arts Guild is doing a “hoop art” challenge. The projects are due the second week in June. I need to get started this month.
My priorities are quilting the QAL top and getting the hoop art project far enough that I can finish it on time. I also plan to start a project in May that isn’t on the list.
It’s a lot of sewing plans for this time of year, but the constant rain has kept me inside more than usual. As long as it keeps raining, I’ll keep sewing.
I’m linking to Elm Street Quilts for my OMG.

This seems like a reasonable list. 🙂

Your QAL top is lovely. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck on your project.
