Sunday Stash June 30, 2019

No change in the numbers.
We are half way through the year. Are you half way to your goal?
In spite of more time in the sewing room this year, my first half numbers disappoint. I think it has a lot to do with the projects. I’ve started new things this year rather than work on UFOs, and the focus on creative play means everything takes more time. Perhaps the second half will be more productive.
I finished the 30s top last night. I had a different vision for the border, but the green was what I could scrape together from stash. It works and I can live with it.
30s topToday I search the stash for backing.

You 30s quilt looks great. Sometimes you just have to go with what you have on hand. Done is good!

  2. Laura Kate says:

“Focus on creative play means everything takes more time.” Profound thought! I suggest that the value of lessons learned from creative play is higher than the value of productivity, which is usually measured in quantitative output.

  3. Laura says:

I agree with Laura Kate! Keep the focus!
    The quilt looks wonderful!

  4. Kate says:

If what you are doing works for you, then the UFOs shouldn’t control your stitching time. I’m not meeting any of my goals so far, but things are moving, so I’m taking that.

  5. chrisknits says:

I love the green, but then I adore all green shades! LOL

I am running behind as well. But things are getting finished so there is that! I will have to send you pictures of my latest UFO challenge. I really am enjoying it!

Your finished flimsy is pretty! I’m glad you’re able to utilize your stash! Thank you for hosting! 🙂
