Just In Time for Fall

I got a little behind on things because of my trip last week, but I did finish the acorn runner.
acorn partyThe blocks were constructed using free form piecing. No templates, no pattern. I took a class through my Guild in July 2017 taught by a Guild member.
I have two more sets of blocks from that class. One set is quarter circle curves and the other is leaves.
The acorns were my least favorite of all the blocks. I’m not sure what possessed me to use those first, but I’m glad I did. I like the finished quilt much better than the stand alone blocks.
This is my first UFO finish of 2019.

Trips do make us get behind. The acorn table runner is cute.

I’m almost done with my August commitments, plus more. August has been a good month for me.

I hope the trip in September is positive because I’m supposed to be able to sew. I am looking forward to that.

  2. I can see how the separate acorn blocks might be a little plain standing alone, but I really like how they look altogether. The runner is perfect for Autumn!

I like this! Ikush don’t have many finishes this summer but I have been working on stuff though!

Since I have an oak tree shading my front porch, I am a bit partial to your acorn runner. 🙂

It’s probably better to get the least favorite out of the way, now you can have fun with the others. But I like it even if it was least!
