Soup Weather

We’re full into fall here in the Midwest, which means I’m making soup about every week. My favorite cool weather meal is soup and homemade bread.
I haven’t been able to find gluten-free bread mix for a few years now. The fad must have run its course and the local grocery stores quit carrying it. Fast forward to last Saturday when I saw several GF bread mixes on the clearance rack at Meijer. I wonder where they hid those mixes because they were not in the GF aisle.
I bought all the regular mixes but none of the special flavors. I regretted that later, but I’d never tried the brand before.
Anna's bread
I give this mix a big thumbs up for both texture (like real bread) and ease of use. I noticed bread machine modifications on the box, but the cycle wasn’t specified. I looked on the manufacturer’s website for clarification. My bread machine does not have a GF cycle. I used the cycle on my machine that came closest to mimicking a GF cycle, and the bread turned out great.
As always, I have no affiliation with Breads by Anna. I’m just happy to have found a good bread mix and hadn’t posted a GF food review in a while.
Maybe, if I’m lucky, there will be mixes left on the clearance shelf this weekend.
