No change in the numbers this week. As things are I would have to work hard to add to the stash. I’m not one to buy much of anything online.
I quilted one block on Bears With Borders. There’s an extra layer of batting under the embroidery for a slight trapunto effect.
I needed to live with it for a bit to see if I liked the look. I thought about adding another round of stitching, but then the stitching would run off the edge at the sashing. I feel like that would emphasize that the designs aren’t perfectly centered.
The blocks came from the Five and Dime fifty years ago. No computers, no laser technology. Everything about the blocks is a little wonky. It’s part of their charm.

Your block looks adorable! I like the dimension you get with the extra batting.
Thanks!Beautiful jelly roll you won, and good luck getting rid of your orphans. We are working from the office as usual and I am going to work every day still. Very stressful.
Love the dimension the extra batting gives! Great idea!
The stress has risen for me as well. I had a co-worker report to the Postmaster that I have been exposed. It isn’t true. The fear is real, and it makes it just that much harder to do the job.
I love the trapunto and the scalloped edge. I know you are being careful at work but wish we could all just be home right now. Stay safe!
