August 2020 Short List

I don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve had to work to find inspiration and motivation this year. Looking online is not the same as seeing quilts and other projects in person. I don’t see that changing this year, at least not where I live. New times call for new ways.
That said, I finished a couple projects last month and can move on to other things.
The Short List categories are UFO, garment, original design, stitchery, framing, charity and other. I’ve used some form of this system for 6 years to keep me focused. I change the categories as my goals and interests change.
UFO – I’m still appliqueing the branches on Birds In The Branches. I will finish those and move on to leaves this month.
Garment – I cut out the white Life Sew Savory Fitted Tee. It will sew up fast.

Original Design – I started a project that wasn’t the one I’d been sketching. I don’t have a working title yet. Hard to say where this one is going.

Stitchery – I made quite a bit of progress on Christmas Eve. I might even surprise myself and finish it by Christmas.

Framing/Finishing – Autumn’s Call is next in line for framing.

Other – This is the easiest category to fill because new projects that aren’t original designs fit here. Instead I’ll focus on projects in process.
Charity – I started sewing the HST blocks into rows.

I’m picking a different project since I haven’t met my OMG the past few months. This month the white tee will be my OMG, linking to Elm Street Quilts.
