November 2020 Short List

Time again to update the list for another month as we head into the holiday season. The weeks pass so fast. I always thought time would pass slower as I aged, but that’s not the case.

I finished Birds last month and another project that wasn’t on the list. With too many choices, I find it challenging to choose what to work on next.

The Short List categories are UFO, garment, original design, stitchery, framing, charity and other. I’ve used some form of this system for 6 years to keep me focused. I change the categories as my goals and interests change.

If I have nothing in process in a category I will leave it off the list. The list will include only active categories.

UFO – I will work on something, as yet undetermined. I need to pull out the UFO bins and see what speaks to me.

Garment – The next project is a skirt. I only own one dress, and I threw it in the Goodwill bag after I saw how awful it looked on me. Funny how photos make clear what we don’t always see. You never know when you’ll need nice clothes.

Original Design – I have the fabrics laid out for Open Dialogue and need to sew them together. This is the focus project after the zigzag quilt.

Stitchery – I’m still working on Christmas Eve.

Framing – I have a frame picked for an old needlepoint project. I have no idea what happened to the original frame. The picture hung for years, but I found it unframed in a drawer.

Charity – I need to bind and label the zigzag quilt. This will be my OMG, linking to Elm Street Quilts.

    A good list, Donna. 🙂

I really should clean out my closet…there are items that are many, many years old. I don’t know why I keep putting it off.

I love your categories, but I don’t seem to follow that well enough to do it. But, I am doing a little bit of everything, so I can’t complain.
