April 2021 Short List

I finished the bunny runner last month, which was my OMG. It felt good to finally get one done. I also finished the star blocks (January OMG).

I have a couple more projects close to done and one small start. I’d be thrilled to get all three of those finished in April.

The Short List categories are UFO, garment, original design, hand work, finishing, classes and other. I’ve used this system for 6+ years to keep me focused. The categories change as my goals and interests change. Categories with nothing in process will not be listed, only active categories.

Original Design – Open Dialogue is still waiting to be quilted.

Hand Work – Christmas Eve is very close to done. I try to work on it a little every day. I have a small section of the tree and the back stitch left to finish.

Class – I’m working on task #11 in the Basic Crazy Quilting Course with Kathy Shaw.

Other – I started a small quilt with the scraps of the bunny fabric. I didn’t want to waste any of the bunny cuteness.

Garment – I’ve done a lot of walking with my son this spring, more than usual. I want to make some longer shorts to wear once the weather gets warmer. I don’t usually wear short, but some of the paths we walk have limited shade.

Finishing the Crazy Quilting Course will be my April OMG, linking to Elm Street Quilts. I really want that project behind me.

  1. Nice job on your crazy quilt block. I finished the class through task #11 then declared myself done because I didn’t want to waste buttons and other notions on a panel I didn’t plan to display anywhere. I really enjoyed the class and I hope to make a real crazy quilt sometime soon.

It all looks good. Your Open Dialogue is amazing! I love cross stitch too and that one is really pretty. It would take me years to finish I’m afraid. What kind of hoop or frame do you use?
