Finally! All the Christmas designs I stitch are in season.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers who celebrate it. It’s a quiet day here, but we are having a nice meal.
I picked this up at Needle Arts Guild last summer. One of the members passed away unexpectedly, and her family boxed up her stitch stash and told us to take what we wanted.

I limited myself to this towel and one magazine. I thought the towel had an aida band running across it. I knew I had patterns for those that I wanted to stitch. When I got it home and looked closer I saw it had a rectangular aida insert and came with a pattern to fit the space. It seemed silly not to use it.
The towel and pattern are by Charles Craft, copyrighted 2007.
I have not enjoyed stitching this one. The patterns has a lot of color changes. The chart printing is so dark I couldn’t copy it and mark off my stitches. I ended up covering it with clear vinyl and using a water erase marker to track my stitches. Not an ideal situation.
Whether or not I finish it before Christmas depends on how much attention it gets. Once it’s done I feel no desire to make another one.
If you have no desire to make another one and it was free, why not just start making on the pattern. You have my permission π
I really like the poinsettia! π
It’s very pretty even if its a pain in the proverbial π
Completely understand. Your work is quite lovely though!
