The December 2021 Short List

November was a good month. I finished the exchange ornament, NOEL, made kitchen curtains and a nightgown. The nightgown wasn’t even on the list.

The December list will be scaled back. It’s more motivating to have a few projects and finish them than a lot of projects and finish nothing. It also leaves room for spontaneous projects.

The Short List categories are UFO, garment, original design, hand work, finishing, classes and other. I’ve used this system for 8 years to keep me focused. The categories change as my goals and interests change. Categories with nothing in process will not be listed, only active categories.

Original Design – I’m working on the design for a group challenge and will start the top.

Other – Maybe scraps, maybe surface design, or maybe I’ll just play.

Hand Work – I’m ready to finish the Christmas towel and move on.

UFO – Before starting the next BOM blocks, I need to arrange the finished blocks into my version of the pattern and make sure the colors are balanced. That’s on the list for this weekend.

The towel is the only project close to finished. It is my OMG for November, linking to Elm Street Quilts.

Curtains are on my list of to-do’s for next year…which isn’t very far away! 🙂
