We left off with the resist piece here.

Then I added a little bit of silver paint. It didn’t show up so I changed to silver paintstik. Next came blue paintstik over a rubbing plate.

I still wasn’t happy with the silver. My philosophy with paint is to go big or go home. It’s only fabric. I added more silver paint, and then added purple paint with a sponge (in the circles) and a brush (background).

I would normally keep adding layers, but this fabric will become a quilted project and I want the quilting to show. Sorry, this last picture is a little washed out. The middle picture is most true to color.
In hindsight, I should have painted more than one color on the first layer. I found the single color a little plain for my taste.
Next step, turn it into something.
Very interesting, Donna! Can’t wait to see how you use this piece! 🙂
can’t wait to see what this turns in to; hope to see you at the needle arts guild show this weekend; I will be there on Saturday from 9-1
It is looking very interesting!
