Sunday Stash July 7, 2019

No fabric out this week. The 30s quilt is basted and the Gemma top is under construction.
The Gemma pattern is an epic fail for my body proportions. So far I’ve spent more time taking it apart and making adjustments than it took me to sew up the seams. My goal is to get it wearable, finish it up and move on.
I bought a 2 yard cut of muslin at Goodwill for $0.80. The price was too good to pass and I will use it to dye or paint. Muslin doesn’t linger in my stash.
Fabric Added: 38
Fabric Used: 3.5 yards
Net Fabric In: 34.5 yards
How did you do this week?

  1. Julie in GA says:

Part of the reason I love quilting is that I don’t have to worry about whether what I make will fit my body. That is one of the biggest challenges with making clothing. I hope you can get your project to a wearable state.

I agree with Julie! But I don’t mind making pajama pants…quick, easy, and no need to fit to perfection. Ha, ha!

I know it’s a lot of work, but it will be nice when it fits. I don’t do clothes any more, though I once made all of mine and most of the boys. Didn’t want to do that forever! Some in some out, good plan. =)
